This little treasure was bought at the Portland Antique fair last year. My girlfriend and I make a pilgrimage to the fair every year and more of these treasures will be showing up in paintings. I managed to steal another strawberry to before a second night of strawberries and cream. So sweet and red.

Oil 7x5in Auction starts tomorrow April 29 2014 at dailypaintworks.com. I thought I would paint a seascape for a change. This is part of my Local Scenes series. Down at Deep Cove, in North Vancouver. It is such a beautiful spot, so tranquil. Belcarra is across on the far side.
