Jake -Pet Portrait

Jake is a commission I painted, framed and delivered in January. Jake passed 9 years ago and I was asked to paint him from the photo that captured his owners heart many years before. The photo is a black and white (tiff) from a newspaper clipping that was not large in size but it had good contrast, thank goodness. Jake was a youthful 2 year old.
